InterMoor builds on Falklands marine services success

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has completed a 27-month contract for AGR on their multi-client exploration drilling project off the Falkland Islands. The campaign kicked off early 2010 with the mobilization of Diamond Drilling’s Ocean Guardian semisubmersible from Invergordon, UK, and the 164-day roundtrip tow to exploration locations in the remote North Falkland basin and one well in the South Falklands basin.

Starting with the initial rig move InterMoor provided full project management of the marine services, which were handled from Aberdeen with a dedicated Marine Superintendent and Surveyors based in the Falklands to deliver round-the-clock support throughout the project.

The project called for a range of services including procedures, engineering, analysis, on- and offshore support and mariners offshore. AGR chose InterMoor for its extensive experience in this arena and the company’s in-house technical capability.
