The next MTS Houston Section luncheon will be held on April 26, 2012 and will feature a presentation by Matt Gochnour - Lead Subsea Controls Engineer, BP Gulf of Mexico Subsea Operations on the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

The Deepwater Horizon event was a tragic incident - and one no one wants to see repeated. There are many lessons to be learned. At our meeting, Matt Gochnour with BP will provide a brief overview of the subsea incident response. He will discuss some of the details of the subsea data acquisition and pressure measurement system used throughout the response will be presented. He will also review and discuss the role that this data played in the response effort and the activities that were collectively pursued to establish well integrity.
