Aberdeen-based BIS Salamis (M&I) has secured a one-year, £6 million extension, to a ten year contract with oil and gas company Chevron North Sea Limited.

The new contract extends the firm’s existing flagship contract, which covers the provision of multi-task deck crew, and HVAC, access, rigging, industrial cleaning and coatings services on Chevron’s Alba, Captain and Erskine installations in the North Sea.

The contract is the latest development in a longstanding relationship between the two companies. Earlier this year, BIS Salamis was awarded a Performance Award at the 2009 Chevron Contractors Safety Awards in Aberdeen in recognition of its safety record while working with the company.

BIS Salamis’ Managing Director, Mike Main, said: “Being awarded an extension to this contract reflects well on our continued focus on service delivery and builds on our position as a leading provider of maintenance and support services.

“BIS Salamis is extremely proud of its extended service range and excellent safety record with Chevron, which would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our offshore teams who have maintained a strong focus on safe operations and worked closely together to minimise potential risks.”
