Alan Booth; marine manager at MAC

Aberdeen-based Maritime Assurance and Consulting Ltd (MAC) has secured its biggest contract to date from BP for the provision of marine services.

The three year agreement, which will amount to hundreds of thousands of pounds on an annual basis, covers a range of marine operations within the UKCS including vessel assurance, engineering, marine and HSSE consultancy and the provision of offshore personnel.

As a result, MAC has appointed a number of additional resources to ensure the necessary competencies are on-hand at short notice.

This is the first major contract win for the company’s recently formed marine assurance team and coincides with the recent appointment of marine manager, Alan Booth, who, with over 45 years’ experience of the offshore industry, will be responsible for overseeing the contract.
