Queens Award for Offshore Environmental Innovation

Tom McKechnie

Niche Products Ltd, provider of environmentally superior hydraulic fluids to the offshore oil and gas industry, has won the prestigious Queens Award for Innovation 2012. The award was granted to Niche for innovating the Pelagic range of subsea hydraulic fluids, which combine the highest possible levels of environmental acceptability with maximum technical performance.

Commenting on the award, Company Founder Tom McKechnie said ‘Our Company is providing environmentally superior products to the highest possible standards measurable in our industry and to have our efforts recognised by her Majesty the Queen is a true honour, particularly in this special Jubilee Year’.
