Reservoir Group member company, Kirk Petrophysics, is hosting an open day at its Core Centre this month, with leading international E&P firms including Tullow Oil and PA Resources on hand to share their knowledge and experiences.

The inaugural event, organised in response to demand from Kirk’s extensive client base, will take place on May 24 at the company’s headquarters in Guildford. Oil companies will provide access to their own core, with a range of technical presentations from industry experts and independent specialists taking place alongside.

Celebrating Kirk’s 15 years in the industry, the event will chart the entire coring sequence, from work undertaken at the wellsite, through to processing, storage and data management.

Jean-Valery Garcia, managing director of Kirk Petrophysics, said: “By opening the doors to our facility in this manner, we are providing an opportunity for industry professionals, operators and enthusiasts alike to share best practice and experiences, thereby helping to shape the oil and gas industry going forward.”
