Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has issued another contract with OCS Group for a design and engineering support team for two Friede & Goldman JU2000E jackups.

This marks the 2nd new-build contract that SWS Offshore has awarded OCS in the last two years for design / engineering / commissioning support.

The projects are the independent leg cantilever Jackups -- JU2000Es, designed by Friede & Goldman. The rigs will capable of harsh environment operations in water depths of up to 400 feet of water, and the rigs will be equipped to drill high pressure / high temperature and wells to 35,000 feet.
