IEH Boiler House

Parat Halvorsen recently won a contract to deliver two complete, turnkey, skid-based hot water units to the Kazakhmys Aktogay copper mine project in Kazakhstan. The hot water units are based around the Parat High Voltage Electrode boiler and the total heat duty to be delivered is just below 30MW.

The boiler pressure vessels will be delivered with the ASME Stamp and both units will be designed, constructed and tested at the Parat main facilities in Flekkefjord, Norway.

The hot water units will mainly be used to heat up the processing fluid used in the open pit copper extraction process. The detailed engineering has been started and the units are scheduled to be delivered in February 2014.
