Regal Petroleum announces directorate change-Spotlight

Regal Petroleum has appointed Dr Alastair Macleod Graham as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Dr Graham (aged 56) has over 29 years experience in the oil and gas industry having held a number of senior management roles with BP plc ('BP'), including UK Business Development Manager, Upstream Mergers and Acquisitions Manager, V-P of OAO Sidanco in Russia, leader of BP's Southern North Sea gas production business, V-P of BP Exploration Alaska and, most recently, leader of BP's Russia business unit and its shareholder representative for the TNK-BP joint venture. Since retirement from BP in March 2009, Dr Graham has provided consultant advisory services in the oil and gas sector. He holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Edinburgh, an MBA from the University of Strathclyde and an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.

The Company also announces that Mr Antonio Mozetic and Lord Anthony St John of Bletso have stepped down as Non-Executive Directors of the Company due to other business and/or personal commitments, with immediate effect.

Following the above changes, the Board of Regal now comprises the following directors:- Keith Henry (Non-Executive Chairman) David J Greer (Chief Executive Officer) Harry Verkuil (Chief Operating Officer) Robert Wilde (Finance Director) Adrian Coates (Non-Executive Director) Alastair Graham (Non-Executive Director)

Mr Keith Henry, Chairman of Regal, said, 'I am delighted to welcome Dr Alastair Graham to the Board of Regal. Dr Graham brings considerable experience of the oil and gas industry and the benefit of important relationships built over a long and distinguished career. He will be of immense value during the next phase of Regal's development.

I would also like to extend my appreciation to both Mr Mozetic and Lord St John for their valued contribution during their tenures as Non-Executive Directors.'
