WGP's track record of operating in challenging locations across the globe has led to the company returning to the high Arctic by entering into a turnkey contract, as recently announced, with State Servmorgeo Company (SMG).

SMG has been licensed to study the Mendeleyev Ridge during the summer of 2012. WGP will be providing seismic data acquisition services aimed at collecting additional material to support the Russian proposal to the UN Commission on the Law of the Sea in order to determine the limits of the continental shelf.

The project will be utilising WGP's highly adaptable Portable Modular Source System (PMSSTM), which has previously been successfully utilised by ION's GeoVentures group in a preliminary arctic survey on behalf of the Russian Government undertaken during 2011.
