Operators and oilfield service companies are being invited to an event in Aberdeen aimed at exploring how Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) software complements SAP procurement solutions for the upstream oil and gas supply chain.

Aimed at key supply chain decision makers who use SAP, the event, which is free to attend, will be hosted by specialist software consultancy Absoft, one of the leading independent SAP providers in the UK, at the company’s headquarters at Aberdeen Innovation Park, Bridge of Don on Thursday, March 14.

In this latest forum, delegates will hear from one of Absoft’s leading oil and gas solution architects Bjӧrn Harzer, who will give an overview of the different processes in operational and strategic procurement, and advise how SAP solutions such as SRM, Materials Management (MM), and Sourcing support these.

Mr Harzer will then compare the SAP solutions and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each while weighing up their cost and benefits.
