Gastech 2012-2

Gastech, the world’s leading natural gas conference and exhibition, is inviting industry leaders, operators and service providers to bring their innovations and solutions to a captive audience in a bid to ensure the sustained supply of energy worldwide.

This year’s conference sees the welcome return of the Centres of Technical Excellence (CoTEs), free-to-attend educational theatres located on the Gastech Exhibition show floor.

Created to deliver knowledge, education and awareness of new innovations and developments in gas technology, the CoTEs provide a platform for many of the world’s most-respected industry associations and organisations by utilising high-level speakers to encourage thought-provoking discussion.

Throughout the four days of the show, the theatres will focus on specific areas of interest to those working in the global gas industry.

The twelve CoTEs streams for this year’s event include: gas processing; power generation; unconventional gas; health, safety & environment; floating LNG; engineering project delivery; cryogenics; pipelines & transmission; offshore & subsea technology; UK innovation; carbon capture & storage; and LNG shipping fuel.

The call for presentations is now open and, given the anticipated high demand for the opportunity for involvement, Gastech is encouraging a swift response from potential presenters with a Friday, 30 March deadline.

The Gas Processing Association Europe (GPAE) is among organisations that have confirmed their support for the CoTEs. The GPAE previously presented in the 2011 CoTEs and will also be presenting this year’s 2012 Gas Processing stream.

Sandy Dunlop, executive administrator for the GPAE, commented: “The 2011 CoTEs were invigorating and a great opportunity to showcase our members’ technical knowledge to exhibition visitors.

“In 2012 we hope to build on that experience and to provide high-quality, in-depth technical papers on a range of gas processing subjects. The CoTEs provide an excellent opportunity for our operator members to discuss the issues for which they need solutions and for our supplier members to present their cutting-edge technology solutions to a wider audience.

“Gastech 2012, and the CoTEs in particular, will facilitate collaboration to help assure long-term energy delivery.”

Gastech will be held in London from the 8 to 11 October, 2012, welcoming around 10,000 industry professionals from across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.
