PETEX is the largest subsurface-focussed E&P conference and exhibition in the UK, attracting thousands of delegates from across the world and across a spectrum of industry sectors, from super-majors to consultancies.
The conference is also attended by a large contingent of geoscience Masters and PhD students.
The theme for PETEX 2012 is ‘Global Frontiers, Global Solutions’.
PETEX 2012 promises a comprehensive programme illustrating the latest global activity in exploration, field development, reservoir management and unconventional exploitation, delivered through technical sessions, keynote speeches and poster arena. There will also be a special interactive Plenary Session, consisting of a panel of experts who will debate on the main societal challenges facing the industry today.
Conveniently based at Earls Court 2 in London, PETEX is a biennial event featuring a technical programme highlighting the latest developments in exploration, development, production and subsurface technology.
PETEX is well known for it’s networking and social events.
In fact, the main three reasons for attending PETEX given by a survey of delegates was to Network, to Meet New Contacts and to stay abreast of new ideas.
A taster of some of the opportunities on offer:
· The Exploration Managers Lunch attracts senior figures from across the industry
· The dedicated Student Day enables the talent of tomorrow to connect with their potential future employers and colleagues, in an informal environment
· The First day at PETEX has a cocktail party right on the Exhibtion Floor, allowing plenty of time and space to make contacts and exchange ideas
· The PETEX Evening Excursion provides a trip around Earls Court sponsored by some of the Industry’s largest companies
· The Final day’s Sundowner will again be focused on the exhibition floor, a final farewell to delegates, speakers and exhibitors before we go our separate ways for another year.”
