OPITO’s third global conference to focus on managing the safety chain

OPITO Safety and Competence Conference-2

Details of the third annual OPITO Safety and Competence Conference which takes place in Abu Dhabi on 20 November 2012 have been released.

This year’s theme is ‘Managing the Safety Chain’ which will explore how the oil and gas supply chain could pull together to deliver effective management of a safe and competent workforce.

Keynote speakers will include Steve Walker, Head of Offshore Division, Health and Safety Executive, and Dr Elie Daher, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, United Safety International.

Gordon Ballard, Chairman of Schlumberger UK, will chair the conference and further senior figures from the industry will be confirmed shortly.
