Pulse Structural Monitoring, an Acteon company, will unveil the latest additions to its DrillASSURE™ drilling riser monitoring system software at the SPE/IADC conference and exhibition in San Diego, Calif., March 6-8, 2012.
An interactive exhibit at booth 727 will offer the first chance to test three new software modules developed to compliment the company’s tried and trusted drilling riser monitoring hardware.
DrillWINDOW™ offers pre-drilling analysis of static and dynamic operating windows and hang-off envelopes. The user inputs known environmental data, such as wave height, current velocity and mud density, then the software evaluates these against approved safety margins to calculate the fatigue life of the drill stack.
Jeff Diestler, Pulse Structural Monitoring Business Development Manager, said: “Our extensive track record in conducting successful drilling riser monitoring campaigns has earned us a strong understanding of the associated demand for useful data. Pulse’s priority is to help operators and contractors save time and money by streamlining their drilling campaigns, while adhering to the most rigorous safety standards. DrillASSURE achieves this by providing data that can be easily interpreted and acted upon quickly. Recent users include two drilling contractors in Brazil and we expect to see considerable interest in the coming months.”
