Rig Source Inc., based in Elburn, Ill., U.S., officially introduced its new Terramac RT9 rubber track multipurpose carrier to an international audience at MINExpo International 2012. To broaden its customer base, Rig Source exhibited the new crawler carrier to over 50,000 attendees. The world-renowned expo covered more than 850,000 square feet and hosted over 1,800 exhibitors at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Sept. 24 through 26.

The Terramac RT9, designed to serve the pipeline, drilling, general construction and mining industries, arrived at the expo with a Tiger crane and a 1,600 gallon water tank mounted on its back to demonstrate some of the many attachment options. Many attendees were interested in the cab and carriage base unit in order to mount their own machines onto the carrier.
