The 27th International
North Sea Flow Measurement Workshop
20 – 23 October 2009, Tønsberg, Norway
First Announcement and Call for Abstract
The world venue
The objective of the conference is to maintain its position as the world venue for presentations and discussions of the state of the art technologies related to oil and gas measurement. The workshop also focuses on the practical applications of this technology.
The workshop attracts delegates from all around the world who have an interest in accurate measurement systems and challenging metering
applications.
New Metering Technologies
The everlasting pressures to reduce costs and uncertainty lead to development of new metering technologies and further development of established technologies.
The pressure to utilize natural resources and use existing facilities for production of satellites lead to an increased number of challenging subsea developments and allocation metering concepts.
Multiphase, wet gas, high water cut and high viscosity are example of metering challenges engineers are facing. Correspondingly, the program at the workshop are continuing to develop.
Informal Format
The format of the workshop is as always very informal and encourage for discussions and excellent networking opportunities.
High quality
In recent years the number of abstracts has been outstanding, maintaining the reputation for quality, technical content and delegate participation at the workshop as it alternates between Scotland and Norway.
Call for papers
Technical papers are invited from operators, regulators, engineering contractors, service companies and research organisations about their onshore or offshore experiences within oil and gas measurement.
Topics of interest
All submissions will be reviewed and considered by the program committee with priority being given to those papers, which are presented by, or include, operator experience. Practical content and field experiences are important since the aim of the event is to maintain a workshop environment, rather than a formal conference.
