Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, Qatar Petroleum will be hosting the SPE International Production and Operations Conference and Exhibition. Organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the event will be held from 14–16 May 2012 at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha.

The opening ceremony will include remarks by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al Sada; Mr. Said Mubarak Al Mohannadi, Conference Chairman and Director of Operations at Qatar Petroleum; and 2013 SPE President Egbert Imomoh, Chairman of Afren.

“With the industry’s inevitable battle to increase production despite environmental and technical challenges, the significance and precedence of this event is unmatched,” Al Mohannadi said. “The event will combine a world-class technical conference with an international exhibition, offering the opportunity for industry leaders to share ideas, exchange technical knowledge, and to discuss current production and operations related issues all under one roof.”
