Paull & Williamsons, Aberdeen’s leading commercial law firm, has sent representatives to OTC for more than 20 years and believes the event is an important one for updating clients on developments which might affect their businesses.

Previous years of the conference have seen lawyers, bankers and accountants discouraged from attending but Paull & Williamsons were amongst the pioneers of professional companies attending the show. Now, these specialist support functions are recognised as a crucial part of the offshore industry and make up around 25% of attendees at the exhibition, as opposed to engineering or operational personnel.

The legal firm works with many leading names in the oil and gas industry and has recently successfully represented employers in a Supreme Court case which affected the application of Working Time Regulations for offshore workers in the UK.
