New Year blues at $100 a barrel oil have been erased, and yesterday oil rose in New York by $2 to reach $129.60.

The good new percolated down, and EnCana gained $1.75, Suncor soared $4.84 and Canadian Superior rose slightly despite declaring plans to build spend $550 million to build a terminal for liquefied natural gas, the Excalibur project, offshore New Jersey.
