The Board of the ONS Foundation has decided to grant NOK 7 million for the building of a new exhibition hall at Stavanger Forum. As the name suggests, it will mainly be used for exhibition events.
The hall will provide a net floor area of 4800m2 containing offices, a conference room, a catering centre for the entire site with restaurant, as well as exhibition space. The hall is planned to be completed in time for ONS 2014. This expansion is essential if ONS is to remain a competitive expo centre in the future.
This year we are opening a new hall to the south of our famous “Siddishallen”. The new hall covers almost 4900m2 and will mostly be used as an ice hockey training centre, but has also been constructed to serve as an excellent ONS exhibition arena.
There is no doubt that it is essential for ONS to offer new exhibition space. Even though the 2012 event looks like being the biggest ONS ever, we still have a waiting list of companies wanting 3000sqm. exhibition space. This means that many companies wishing to take part will be disappointed.
We estimate that the 2012 expo will cover a little over 21 000m2, and our preparations are right on schedule!
But don’t forget that there is still space available at our Renewable Energy and Carbon Management Parks, so get in touch if these are of interest.
