Hydro sights on Snoehetta

Transocean Winner

Hydro, soon to be StatoilHydro, has asked official Norway for permission to drill the wildcat 6609/6-1, the Snoehetta prospect in the Norwegian Sea.

The site, in production license PL286, is 92 kilometres from land in 330 metres of water.

The Polar Pioneer is being asked to attend a planned kick-off between August and September 2007 for 50 days of drilling.
