Hammerfest LNG plant on stream again

Hammerfest LNG plant

Statoil says that production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has resumed at Melkøya near Hammerfest after a shutdown of just over two weeks.

Inspections have been carried out and large amounts of data have been collected which will help to make the cooling tower more robust.

The plant’s overall planned annual output will not be affected by the shutdown.
