Gazprom starts feeding gas into Bovanenkovo – Ukhta gas pipeline

Gazprom - Bovanenkovo – Ukhta

Gazprom has finished pneumatic testing and started feeding gas into the first string of the Bovanenkovo - Ukhta gas trunkline system (GTS). This process operation is preliminary to bringing the gas pipeline onstream.

'The works are progressing according to schedule. Process gas is being injected simultaneously from both directions: from the North (Bovanenkovo field) and from the South (Unified Gas Supply System in Ukhta). The gas pipeline will be operational any time soon,' said Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee.
