Advanced Flow Technologies Inc. (AFTI) reported that its Watch-DOG technology for monitoring gas wells passed its first winter time test with flying colours. Watch-DOG is designed to monitor gas wells for freeze-ups, alerting producers with colour coded icons on a map when a well is in danger of freezing.

Watch Dog clearly identified which wells were in danger of freezing and which wells could be ignored. One of our clients, a major gas producers, has advised us that their winter time production losses were half of last year’s experience as a result of using our technology, added Johnson.

Watch-DOG alerts producers over a secure website to show the location of production problems. The new technology is low cost, portable and easily user installed.
