In its quest to find people with a passion for Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment (QHSE), Technip has launched an Associate QHSE Advisor programme, a two-year entry-level initiative. Applicants from all walks of life were invited to showcase their passion and suitability for QHSE in a bid to win a place on the programme. Technip received more than 380 applications for the positions, 50% more than the anticipated amount.

The widely documented skills shortage within the oil and gas industry encompasses many disciplines. Technip’s QHSE initiative is at the core of the company’s long term strategy to address this future shortfall, ensuring that the organisation is best placed to continually nurture and develop its teams in the years to come.

John Colley, Technip UK QHSES Manager said: “When launching the Associate QHSE Advisor programme our aim was to find people who are truly passionate about this area of expertise. Our focus was on their desire to work in a QHSE role and capability rather than their previous experience. We were delighted with the number and calibre of applicants we received.”
