AGR Field Operations has been awarded the EPCM for Phase-2 of the CO2CRC Otway Basin Pilot Project for Geo-sequestration research. This phase of the world class Otway monitoring program covers a series of water and CO2 injection tests over a 60 day period scheduled from mid May 2011. This scope of work has an estimated value of 20 MNOK over the next 12 months with work starting immediately.
AGR’s scope of work covers additional surface facilities including extension of the existing high pressure stainless steel pipeline, Cryogenic storage, pumping and vaporising facilities for liquid CO2, produced water storage, water injection, additional instrumentation and laboratories for the scientists. Construction is expected to commence in Q2 of next year.
Previous work for the project managed by AGR included drilling and completions of injection wells, complex workovers and the design, procurement and construction of surface facilities including infrastructure.
