AGR Group has expanded its presence in the Middle East with the launch of its Abu Dhabi office.

The global oil and gas service company has been active in the region for several years and has emphasised its commitment to the area with the opening of this facility, which will support upstream energy operations in the region.

The launch of the new office will bring all of AGR's services to the Abu Dhabi market including AGR Petroleum Services, AGR Drilling Services, AGR Field Operations and CannSeal.

Sverre Skogen, CEO of AGR Group, said: 'The opening of our new office will make our comprehensive and unique range of services available to oil and gas operators in Abu Dhabi. AGR has extensive industry capability and can utilise its global experience in projects in the region.

'We are looking forward to strengthening relationships in the Middle East and our investment in the area underlines our commitment to Abu Dhabi and surrounding regions. The Middle East market is important for the future growth of AGR and we are eager to work with partners here. We are also delighted to be represented by a local sponsor, Al Shamsi Enterprises LLC, with whom we have been jointly marketing to ADNOC and the subsidiary Opco's since May, 2010. The early signs are that that this will be a very fruitful relationship.'

In addition to providing services to the oil and gas industry, AGR Petroleum Services is also an established provider of bespoke training for the sector. AGR TRACS Training, formerly known as TRACS International, offers courses from introductory sessions for graduates to masterclasses tailored to the needs of employees in the petroleum industry.

AGR is also providing world class expertise in geophysics, geology and petroleum engineering helping oil companies across the world to understand and model their reservoirs and by that release the potential for Increased Oil Recovery (IOR) and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).
