Alliance Engineering has appointed Edmund-Hugo Lunde to company president, effective October 1. In his new role, Mr. Lunde will be responsible for the company's operations, long-term strategic growth plans, safety performance and customer delivery. Former President Norb Roobaert will transition to the role of chairman, following Alliance's strategic succession plan.

Edmund has been with Alliance since 1996, and most recently served as chief operating officer. During his 28 years in the energy industry, he has developed strong international and domestic engineering and project management experience for both offshore and onshore oil & gas production facilities.

Mike Straughen, director of Wood Group's engineering activities stated, "Edmund has been a key contributor to Alliance’s growth and success. He established the pipeline and onshore business unit and developed it into a world-class engineering organization. He has successfully streamlined the business development and marketing department and the operation organization. His broad background and experience, combined with his attention to detail, processes, and procedures, his business development skills, and his deep appreciation for customer satisfaction make him the ideal person to lead and develop the business."

Norb Roobaert, who has been Alliance’s president since founding the company in 1993, has achieved a strong track record of successful record-breaking project developments while managing the company’s growth. In his new role Norb will support Edmund as needed, with special assignments focused on business development, coaching and mentoring, and corporate strategy development.

"We sincerely appreciate all that Norb has done as president of Alliance and are pleased that, as chairman, he will help ensure continuity as we move forward," concluded Mike Straughen.
