Atlas adds hedge positions for natural gas

Atlas Energy Resources

Atlas Energy Resources reported recently added hedge positions for natural gas that it produces in the Appalachia and Michigan regions. These hedging contracts cover future production for the second quarter of 2009 through the end of 2013.

As a result of the additional hedges, Atlas Energy's natural gas production is now hedged approximately 85% for the remainder of 2009, 73% for 2010, 64% for 2011, 45% for 2012 and 27% for 2013.
