Bergen Group Rosenberg AS signed a Contract with StatoilHydro with an estimated contract value of NOK 170 million. The project will commence immediately and completion offshore is planned to take place in January 2010.

The modifications on the Sleipner A process plant relates to reduced pressure in the reservoir. The project involves all phases from detail design through offshore completion.

The main modifications to be performed under the contract are:

Revamp of inlet separator lower pressure liquid-vapour separation.

Modifications of test separator Installation of new condensate pump Revamp of 1st and 2nd stage re-compressors. With associated piping, electrical, instrument, and structural modifications.

"The contract is of great significance to Bergen Group Rosenberg AS and it is regarded as an acknowledgement from the client StatoilHydro of our capabilities to execute complex EPCIC projects," said Bergen Group CEO Roger Simmenes. "Bergen Group will express great appreciation with the award by StatoilHydro of this contract.

"This award clearly demonstrates the willingness in StatoilHydro to support the development of competitors for the major EPCIC projects, which will be executed in the coming years," continued Simmenes.
