Black Elk reports another successful flowtest at Ship Shoal 198 i-6

Black Elk Energy

Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, LLC reported the successful flowtest at Ship Shoal Block 198 Well #I-6. This is the first of a four well capital campaign at Ship Shoal Block 198. The well was tested and is flowing at an average rate of 480 barrels of oil per day. The flowing tubing pressure was 1,980psi on a 15" choke.

"I'm extremely pleased that we have another successful flowtest to report", says John Hoffman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Black Elk Energy.

"These results confirm the potential of the three remaining drill wells at Ship Shoal Block 198. We are very excited to continue the capital program. Ship Shoal Block198 Well #I-6 marks the fourth successful well for Black Elk Energy in our 2013 Capital Campaign. Thank you Black Elk Team for your hard work."
