Drydocks World received the Best Repair Yard Award at the 6th Marine BizTV International Maritime Awards organized in conjunction with ShipTek 2013. The shipyard has done exemplary work, by diversifying from its traditional domain of ship repair, and offering its services to the growing oil, gas and energy sectors. The award was received on behalf of the company by Mr. Ali bin Towaih, Vice President, Commercial & Business Development.

The number of significant and high-value repairs carried out during 2012 has increased several-fold over the previous years and the industry has widely accepted the shipyard’s capabilities at delivering high quality products on time and in a cost effective manner. In 2012 the yard repaired and refurbished 11 rigs and the numbers are expected to progressively increase into 2013 and beyond.
