Buccaneer Energy Limited provide the following update on the progress of the Cosmo # 1 well in which the Company has a 25% working interest:
Time: 9.00am (Sydney) 18 June 2013 / 3.00pm (Anchorage) 17 June 2013.
Depth: 2,055' Total Vertical Depth (TVD)
Activity: Casing run and cement set. Cement bond log (CBL) has confirmed good cement bond, running of CBL was delayed due to requirement to drill out excess cement within the casing which has now completed. Currently changing out mud to commence drilling ahead to approximately 6,000'.
Well Plan:
The Cosmo # 1 well is a vertical well that has a targeted Total Depth of 8,000' (TD).
Surface casing was set at 800' after which the well was drilled to the top of the Tyonek Formation (Tyonek) at 2,055' where casing was again set. The Tyonek zone is expected to hold multiple prospective gas zones down to 6,000'.
