Mark Day - Ocean Signal

In its continuing process of bringing together exceptional marine industry expertise, maritime safety and communication specialist, Ocean Signal, has appointed Mark Day as its Global Sales and Marketing Manager.

With a BA (Hons) in Maritime Management, Mark has extensive industry experience having worked in senior sales and marketing positions for several leading marine electronics companies. Prior to joining Ocean Signal he was European Sales Manager for McMurdo. Mark was particularly pleased to be joining the new company, commenting, "This is an exciting opportunity for me to be involved with a company from its launch to market, being able to influence both growth and direction. The initial product range from Ocean Signal is not only a strong offering within the market sector but the specifications set new standards for safety and communication products worldwide. I am looking forward to developing strong commercial relationships by setting up successful distribution worldwide."

A keen sailor and sailing Instructor with an RYA Yachtmaster, Mark has participated in the 98/99 Clipper Round the World yacht race gaining valuable practical experience and understanding of the important role of reliable safety and communication equipment in remote, inhospitable ocean regions.

The Ocean Signal team will launch its exciting new product range at SMM 2010 in Hamburg on September 7th.
