Edit page New page Hide edit links Subsea 7 S.A. announced the award of a contract by Tullow Ghana Limited for the TEN Project offshore Ghana in water depths reaching up to 2000 metres. The contract was awarded to a consortium of Subsea 7 and Technip. Subsea 7’s share of the contract is valued at approximately US$500 million. Subsea 7's scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication, transport and installation of 36 kilometres of pipe-in-pipe flowlines, related flowline termination structures, and structure foundation piles. The scope also includes transport and installation of manifolds, riser bases and flying leads. There is a significant fabrication scope of work which will be executed in Ghana. Onshore operations will be led by a team who will be located in Ghana. Engineering will commence immediately with offshore installation scheduled to commence in mid-2015, using the Seven Borealis. Olivier Carré, Senior Vice-President for Africa and Gulf of Mexico said: “We are delighted to be awarded this contract which demonstrates Tullow’s confidence in our ability to deploy our technologies and assets to a large deepwater project offshore Ghana. This contract award further expands our strong presence in West Africa into a new country of operations for Subsea 7." |
