Cooper Basin - Australia

Cooper Energy advised that the rig drilling the Willunga-1 well has drilled through the primary and secondary objectives (Namur Sandstone, Birkhead Formation, Hutton Sandstone and Poolowanna Formation) to total depth with no hydrocarbon shows.

Preparations are currently being made to run wireline logs that are expected to confirm the absence of hydrocarbons.

No further release will be made on Willunga-1 unless wireline logs indicate the commercial presence of hydrocarbons.

The final well in the current drilling program is Murninnie-1 and a release giving pertinent details of that prospect will be made around the time that the well spuds, expected within 1-2 weeks.
