Kenneth Vareide - DNV

DNV has appointed Kenneth Vareide as the new regional manager responsible for maritime and offshore class operations in North and South America. Mr Vareide has held several senior management positions within DNV.

Since starting his career in DNV as a structural approval engineer, Mr Vareide has served in different capacities in Houston, London, Korea and Norway and has been responsible for providing technical, advisory and consulting services related to maritime and offshore applications. He is a graduate of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and MIT Sloan/Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, and holds two Master’s degrees in Naval Architecture and Technology Management respectively.

Now that the Maritime Regional Office has moved from New Jersey to Houston, where DNV already has a comprehensive Offshore Approval and Service Centre and substantial maritime operations, Mr Vareide will focus on providing value-added services to DNV customers in the offshore and maritime industry in North and South America using DNV’s competent professionals and network of offices throughout North and South America.
