DONG Energy's Trym field

Lars Clausen, Executive Vice President at DONG Energy, is delighted that a new Energy Efficiency Directive has been adopted that – based on a Danish model – commits European energy companies to improve their customers’ energy efficiency. DONG Energy is using this as an opportunity to expand its collaboration with large companies in and outside Denmark.

"We currently have around 130 partners, primarily large industrial customers and municipalities that we guarantee an improved bottom line and a reduced environmental impact. Thanks to the new Directive, we plan to add significantly to that number via new partnerships with Danish and international companies. We are now preparing to launch a similar partnership model in the UK, where we already enjoy a strong position and have just gained approx. 6,000 gas business customer accounts."
