EMS Energy has completed and handed over the US $17 million first Mobile Modular Workover Unit (MMWU-1) to its owner, Vietsovpetro. This marks a significant milestone for EMS Energy, which completed the project on schedule, within budget and in compliance with strict HSE standards.

The MMWU-1 was delivered by EMS Energy's subsidiary, Engineering & Marine Services (Pte) Ltd, under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract, and was presented to Vietsovpetro at a ceremony today. The new MMWU-1 will be operating offshore in Vietnam.

The first of its design, the MMWU-1 facilitates swift and easy installation and mobilisation for efficient re-working and repairing of oils wells to achieve maximum productivity. Its modular design offers considerable time-savings and meets highly-regulated safety policies. Driven by three Caterpillar generators, the 750HP MMWU-1 has a hook load of 200 tons.
