Following a NOK18m (£2m) deal, AGR Drilling Services is proud to have an important new client for its Riserless Mud Recovery system (RMR®).

Oil and gas company E.ON Ruhrgas UK E&P Ltd has signed a contract with AGR to use its innovative RMR® technology in the North Sea.

The contract, which lasts until the end of March 2013, is for multiple wells on E.ON Ruhrgas's Huntington Field in the UK sector.

The RMR® is being used off the jack-up rig Ensco 100. Drilling has started and the RMR® is being used on the 36in and 26in sections.

AGR's Riserless Mud Recovery system (example pictured) enables top holes to be drilled more safely and quickly but with less environmental impact. It has been used on more than 140 wells around the world to date.

Johan Møller Warmedal, Executive Vice President at AGR Drilling Services, said from company headquarters in Straume, Norway: 'We are very pleased with the opportunity to serve E.ON in this important part of the world.

'This endorsement of our solutions is yet another example of the ever-increasing application of our unique technology. It fits in well with our ambitious expansion plans and growth projections outside of Norway.'
