Aberdeen flexible pipe specialist flexlife has appointed a sales manager to focus on the company's growth in the UK and in the international marketplace.

Stewart Duthie joins the growing team from a sales background including roles at MacArtney UK and Noskab. Stewart, who brings expertise in subsea electronics, has worked with clients including oil giants, Shell and BP.

flexlife is an innovative consultancy that devises, engineers and delivers solutions both for new developments and existing assets. It was formed two years ago and has successfully completed projects with clients including Total, Chevron, Apache North Sea, Subsea 7, Hess, Statoil, CNR and Maersk UK.

The company recently launched breakthrough patented scanning technology that can detect annulus flooding and consequent corrosion with 100% accuracy in flexible pipes and risers.

flexlife director Stuart Mitchell said, "As the company grows from strength to strength, it was a natural fit to have Stewart come on board. With such a strong sales background, he can help us explore new markets and build future partnerships."

Stewart said, "It is a great opportunity to join an innovative organization and I look forward to the challenges which await."
