Flexible pipe specialist flexlife has secured a subsea engineering support contract with Apache North Sea worth £2.4million over three years with the option to extend to five years.

It comes after flexlife was awarded long-term integrity management contracts with Maersk and CNR earlier this year, again for three years with options to extend to five.

flexlife will be responsible for all the subsea engineering and operational pipeline support on Apache's North Sea assets after competing against 16 companies during the tendering process.

Stuart Mitchell, director of Aberdeen-based flexlife, said, "Securing this major contract is very significant for us and the development of the subsea engineering side of our business.
