Edit page New page Hide edit links Fluor Corporation says that its Shell Philippines Exploration Malampaya Phase 3 (MP3) Project has been named a finalist for Engineering Project of the Year for the Platts Global Energy Awards. “Being named a finalist for Engineering Project of the Year by Platts is a great honor and recognizes the integrated solutions approach provided by Fluor’s team on this project,” said Ken Choudhary, Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals president for Asia Pacific. “Fluor’s material management for onshore and offshore fabrication, and the delivery and installation of equipment and materials, enhanced the engineering effort for this project.” Fluor’s MP3 Project is a bridge-linked offshore depletion compression platform (DCP) built alongside an existing shallow water platform for gas production. The DCP is self-installing with a production capacity of 550 million standard-cubic-feet-per-day of compressed gas. Fluor provided engineering and procurement for the project, which was delivered safely and ahead of schedule. The project will provide the largest source of energy for the Philippines. |
