PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) has awarded a Supply and Maintenance Services Contract to GE in respect of the Surface Well Heads and Christmas trees for the Arthit and Bongkot concessions. This is GE’s first services contract for offshore oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Thailand, and marks yet another milestone in the strong working partnership between PTTEP and GE.

GE executives welcomed the contract win, which is a firm recognition of their company’s dedicated leadership in the provision of high-quality and reliable services. They anticipate a wider involvement and participation in maintaining and servicing similar projects in Thailand in the coming months and years.

The work will be carried out by GE Drilling and Production Systems, a business unit within GE Oil & Gas enterprise which specialize in upstream drilling, completion and production systems, and state-of-the-art technology for the onshore, offshore and subsea oil and gas industries.

Commenting, Mr. Ian Coull, Region Services Leader for Drilling and Production Systems stated, “This agreement provides us with an opportunity to leverage the experience we’ve gained running similar contracts regionally and across our Global Services business to provide a consistently reliable level of service PTTEP can depend on.”
