Ikon Science has launched RokDocQED at the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) annual exhibition, the world's largest geoscience event. RokDocQED is the sixth generation of RokDoc, the category defining rock physics software package, used by national, major and independent oil companies' world wide.

'Because the quantitative interpretation of seismic data is a non-linear process, RokDocQED has been designed to bring together well and seismic data, elastic rock properties, pressure, geomechanics and petrophysical rock properties and enable them all to be combined in a geological framework. The EAGE luanch is generating a lot of excitement for the release because for the first time, interpreters will be able to create geologically meaningful 3D volumes & maps of all the high value geological elements, rocks, fluids and pressures, backed by rigourous science. This product will improve E&P success and reduce deep-water and HP-HT well costs' (Software Director Paul O'Brien).
