ITT Interconnect Solutions-2

ITT Interconnect Solutions, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of connectors, interconnects, and cable assemblies, has received a Class-A Enterprise Certification from the Chinese Customs and Chinese Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for its facility in Shenzhen, China. The Class-A Enterprise Certification eases government restrictions and procedures, thereby improving on-time delivery and providing shorter product lead times for customers worldwide. In order to achieve the certification, a company must exhibit a commitment to quality and retain an exemplary import/export customs compliance track record for a minimum of three years.

"Only 132 of the estimated 12,000 companies in the Baoan district of Shenzhen have been awarded Class-A Enterprise certification this year. Several ISO certifications are necessary for a Class-A Enterprise rating and it has taken years of dedicated efforts by our Interconnect Solutions employees in Shenzhen to earn," said Bill Taylor, president of ITT ICS. "It will significantly support ITT ICS's customer-centric culture initiative worldwide, and I would like to thank all our employees in Shenzhen for their hard work and congratulate them on this outstanding achievement."

President of ITT China and India, Mike Kuchenbrod, adds: "We are delighted to have received official recognition as a business for the highest standards of compliance with Chinese Customs laws and regulations. ITT's businesses around the globe always strive to achieve the best levels of customer service and this Class-A Enterprise Certification will benefit our customer base worldwide. I congratulate all our employees at Shenzhen on behalf of the Board of Directors."

Manufacturing PC cards and a range of connectors ideal for telecom, mobile, industrial, medical, automotive and transportation applications, the ITT ICS factory in Shenzhen was established as a joint venture in 1998, became fully owned by ITT in 2001, and now employs more than 800 people. This extensive facility is 26,000+ square meters and includes an engineering division, new product development specialists, high-volume automated assembly lines, manual assembly capability as well as dedicated stamping, molding, plating and assembly shops.

ITT ICS will be taking part in the World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition from November 5 - 9, 2010 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre, China and Electronica 2010 from November 9 - 12 in Munich, Germany.
