The Directors of Kairiki Energy Limited advises that Mr Duncan Maclean has been appointed to the Board of the Company.
Mr Maclean, a Partner at Minter Ellison, is a corporate lawyer with over 18 years corporate experience. He specialises in resources and energy related matters and advises on major acquisitions, divestments, joint venture arrangements and project structuring. Mr Maclean has a Masters of Commercial Law (Energy & Resources) and a Bachelor of Laws. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), the Australian Mineral and Petroleum Lawyers Association (AMPLA) and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).
With the appointment of Mr Maclean, Mr Neville Basset will step down as a director but continue as Kairiki's Company Secretary.
Commenting on the appointment of Mr Maclean, Mr Paul Fry, Kairiki's Chairman said, 'I wish to welcome Duncan on to the Board of Kairiki. He brings a wealth of corporate, legal and commercial experience in the energy sector to the Board and we look forward to working closely with him through the next critical phase of Kairiki's corporate development.
I also wish to offer my personal appreciation to Neville for assisting us on the Board during an eventful period of Kairiki's history. This period included the securing of Shell as a partner in our SC 54B permit, the exit from the Tindalo project and the capital raisings that have secured our funding through the drilling of the forthcoming Gindara well. Neville will continue in his role as our Company Secretary.'
