KCA DEUTAG’s safety performance recognised by Shell

KCA DEUTAG, the international drilling contractor, has been awarded a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. This is the second time that KCA DEUTAG - through its parent company Abbot Group - has won this prestigious award which is valid for five years.

The award has been approved based upon the Company's significant international growth over the past six years. International business now makes up 90% of KCA DEUTAG's overall turnover. This is also reflected in the diversity and geographic spread of personnel, with almost 90% working outwith the UK.

Holger Temmen, KCA DEUTAG's CEO, said, 'We are delighted to win the Queen's Award for Enterprise for another five years. This achievement in the International Trade category reflects the fact that we are a truly international company, operating successfully in 22 countries. We look forward to continued international growth over the next 5 years'
