MSIS Group-5

Industrial cleaning and environmental waste management specialist, the MSIS Group, is enjoying a significant period of growth in its Equipment Sales and Rental division, with 2011 sales running more than double its equivalent 2010 figures.

The division’s turnover for the opening six months of the year – to the end of June 2011 – have hit £770,000, a hugely impressive 108% increase on the £370,000 recorded for the same period last year

The division, which exceeded £1million of total sales in 2010 – up 43% from the previous year – provides a range of clean up equipment including hot wash units, pressure washers, liquid recovery units and Graco pumps, as well as Trash Compactors.

The newest addition to its portfolio is the SV60 pump – a one vacuum loading and pressure discharge pump capable of recovering and transferring up to 10,000 litres per hour of both liquid and solid material. The kit represents a powerful new offering for clients due to its compact size and ability to move materials, such as hydrocarbon sludge, at a faster rate than conventional methods.

Lynne Barron, Manager of the Equipment Sales and Rental division, said “This is an exciting time for our division. Our team works really hard to ensure that our rental equipment is maintained to the highest standards and that sales orders are met quickly and at a very competitive price. Our recent growth reflects the demand for our range of products and as well as investing in new equipment we are keen to develop our international presence in three key markets.

“In the next six months the division plans to launch its products in Norway and is currently in the process of achieving full NORSOK compliance.

“In addition we will be meeting with prospective partners in Brazil later this month, with a view to being able to offer the full range of equipment to the exciting Brazilian market. There are significant opportunities for both rental and sales, particularly in the new build program of rigs and FPSOs being undertaken by Petrobras in the next few years.

“Finally, the division will build upon the success of the Offshore division of MSIS in West Africa by promoting its rental fleet in Ghana and other neighbouring countries.”

Chris Lloyd, Chairman of the MSIS Group, said: “The success of our Equipment Sales and Rental division is extremely encouraging but its potential to develop a strong international presence is also really exciting. It’s an important element of our overall strategy for MSIS to further develop into selected international markets in the coming months. Our management team is motivated and up for that challenge.”
